Christmas Competition: win a pamper hamper worth £65

Can you believe how quickly Christmas is approaching?

Don’t get me wrong, I’m excited for the festive season. I love walking through the door to the fresh scent of a real pine tree, decorating my windows with twinkly lights, playing Scattegories and charades with close friends and family and the general feeling of goodwill in the air. Boy, do we need it!

Yet, this year I’m hugely unprepared as I’ll shortly be moving house – one of the most stressful things you can do. Every spare minute has been spent packing up boxes and navigating letters from the solicitor. I’ve not thought about cards. I’ve not thought about presents. And I’ve not even thought about Christmas lunch arrangements, which given my histamine intolerance, requires a great deal of prep.

I know I’m not the only one lagging behind. So I’ve teamed up with Holland and Barrett to give away a hamper of lovely pampering gifts worth almost £65 to help anyone feeling overwhelmed by their festive to-do list.

Weleda Lavender Bath Milk

I’ve previously written about how a bath helped me take control so this lovely hamper contains a bottle of Weleda Lavender Bath Milk (rsp: £13.50) to help you relax, patchouli and cinnamon Love Me Little Princess Kisses Bath Bombs from Beauty Kitchen (rsp:£12) for some fun-time fizz and Kneipp Mineral Bath Salt Crystals Cold Season Eucalyptus (rsp: £8.95) to help clear your nose is you’re feeling bunged up.

And because many of you will be braving crowds and freezing temperatures on the high street, you’ll also find some Dr Organic Lavender Oil Moisturising Gel Socks (rsp: £15) and Gel Gloves (rsp: £15) to help rescue sore feet and dry skin. The gel inside contains organic lavender, jojoba, and olive oils as well as vitamin E and essential oils including jasmine, patchouli, bergamot, ylang-ylang, and sandalwood.

Dr Organic Lavender Socks

To enter the draw, simply tell me why you love Christmas and where you are with your planning. Are you all sorted? Or, like me, have you not even thought about it yet?

Feel free to comment on the post below, over on my Facebook page or on my Instagram account.

The name of one lucky winner will be drawn out of a hat on Friday December 9 2017.

The competition is open to UK residents only. Terms and conditions apply.

Please don’t worry if your comments do not instantly appear underneath the blog post. They have to be approved.
All the products mentioned above can be found at Holland and Barrett, which has donated the hamper in exchange for this post.

I love Christmas as it’s one of the rare opportunities I get the whole family together, this year have both my brothers in the UK, so very excited. Yes trying to be organised as in the midst of a kitchen extension which is quite stressful in itself, hoping it will be done by xmas, 4 weeks and counting, keeping fingers crossed!!

I love Christmas because it’s a time to spend at home chilling out with my family…no work for 10 days and the chance to spend time together baking cookies, watching films, eating treats and having people round for drinks.

I love Christmas because it means spending time with loved ones who you may not necessarily get time to see. I also love giving presents and spending time finding the perfect gifts for friends and family. Have done some shopping so far but definitely not enough!

Normally I’m all sorted but this year it’s not the same
My daughter turned 17 this month and buying presents is no game
A car is what she really wants, she can’t drive yet of course
But when that does not appear you can guess who will be to blame!
It won’t be Santa or her dad, it’s me with whom she’ll be so mad
But besides all that I do love Christmas, turkey, tinsel and all that
The crackers, wine and feeling fat
It’s all worth it at the end to know that our Christmas Day has been the best day ever
Until the next year and we do it all again ☃🎄🎅🏻🍾

I love Christmas. I was until two years ago, living in a house with an alcoholic father. Every christmas ruined. Walking the streets one christmas eve with nowhere to go after he smashed the house. Now I try to enjoy christmas as much as I can. And this year, a treat for me, a real christmas tree 🎄. I loved sitting there the first year in this house, decorating my tree. Xxx

Christmas is a great time so spend with family – normally I or my mum host but we are having a family meal out Christmas day this year for the first time ever. Then back for nibbles & games to my brothers. Few more presents to buy & cards to write, but mostly ready. Also the true meaning of Christmas seems forgotten by most, but nothing wrong with a good ole Christmas carol & service.

I love Christmas, it seems to be one of the rare times in a year that everyone gets together and appreciates what they have. I live being able to create and keep traditions each year for my Children so they have great memories and teach them it isn’t all about presents.

50% there with Christmas – my youngest daughter is easy to shop for – the older ones are getting a bit more difficult now. I’m planning a totally paleo Christmas so we’ll see how that goes – need to do much more planning than I’m doing now, time’s racing on! The things I love about Christmas are the snuggling up watching Christmas films together, the wintry walks with the dog spotting all the festive light and the food! Food’s always good 🙂

I love the food, the presents, the atmosphere, the laughs, the decorations, the naughty cats climbing up the Christmas tree…..everything! I prefer to keep December for the nice bits like Christmas markets, nativity plays and Santa visits. I do usually forget a few bits though and have to get those in the last couple of days.

I love Christmas! everything about it makes me smile, Its Magical, its all about the snow, tinsel, Holly, mistletoe, glistening lights ,the smell of fresh pine, baubles, flickering candles, and hoping to catch Santa getting stuck down the Chimney. Listening to the salvation Army’s brass band playing festive tunes at the end of the street, wearing of paper hats so we all look like kings and Reading the cheesy motto’s/jokes once we have pulled the Christmas crackers around the festive table, eating the Traditional Christmas dinner and toasting the occasion, feeling full and content. Christmas carols blaring from the CD player, and then watching the Queens Christmas speech. Curling up and watching Traditional films on the sofa, the log fire glowing and the children laughing and playing, everybody having a wonderful time and being Merry, Family and friends popping round for a mince pie and a tipple. giving and receiving. And most of all, helping people less fortunate than ourselves. I shall start putting the decorations this weekend and then My Christmas celebrations begin

I love Christmas because of the uninterrupted, quality family time! Really keeping my fingers crossed for snow this year because that makes it 100x more magical for me. I have done all of my christmas shopping/wrapping/preparation! I shop throughout the year for gifts so I don’t have a huge rush at the end… Just need to get a little something for myself now!

This looks fantastic and would be a such a fabulous treat. I love the lavender socks, they look like true luxury for my poor old feet, and if this pack helped me get a good night’s sleep i would be over the moon Merry Christmas!

If it weren’t for christmas we would lose touch with many friends and family. Christmas cards have kept us in touch – new addresses, new babies, deaths which we would not know about otherwise.

I love the Festive spirit and connection with friends and family that comes with the season. However this year there is no chance of getting ready anytime soon. We just closed on the sale of our flat and haven’t found a new permanent home to move to yet. So we are staying with family while we look. Eeeeek.

I love Christmas because with grandchildren spread around the country it is the one time of the year we manage to see them all either before or after the big day. Lovely to share the magic and excitement with them. In contrast hubby and I enjoy peace and quiet on the 25th. We love to go to the shores of The Wash for a long walk and have a special picnic before returning home , thawing out and counting our many blessings 🙂

I hate shopping so the run up to Christmas is the worst time of the year for me. I dread it from about September onwards when I start to see all the gift sets appearing on the tills. However I love the Christmas period and spending quality time with family and friends which is what Christmas is really about for me.

I love Christmas but it is also tinged with sadness due to family members passing away in Christmas week. But we remember them in our thoughts .. this year, i am grateful to have my son spending the time with us .. busy lives mean we don’t see much of him so this is the best Christmas present I could have asked for ..

I always have a brilliant Christmas. Every year me, hubby and dog go to my cousins from Christmas Eve morning till Boxing Day night, along with my mum, auntie and uncle. We are a really close family and we have so much fun. It’s even better now her children are older ( early teens) so they can join in with the banter. The food and drink flows well all day and night. The rules are no TV, except for the Queens speech. I am almost ready for Christmas except for the wrapping, but that’s all part of the fun. I am so excited, but have promised myself this year not to peak too early!

I absolutely LOVE Christmas.. I love the buzz of it all, the lights, the shopping, the wrapping, the music, the silly jumpers and school nativity.
For once i have been organised this year with the present buying and i’am pleased that i was as i’ve been stuck in for the past week with my 7 year old son who has had quite a bad case of the Chicken Pox. I’am starting to climb the walls now but must admit, i have enjoyed cuddling up and watching all of our festive films!! For the first time ever i even spotted Donald Trump in Home Alone 2….despite watching it hundreds of times, id never noticed him before!!
Another think i love with our family is that on Christmas day there is no inbetween with regards to what we wear…..its either full on smartly dressed or the most insane Christmas jumper you can lay eyes on!
